POLY-MVA: 40 years of Scientific Research
Dr. Merrill Garnett is a research chemist and the head of
the Garnett McKeen Laboratory in Stony Brook, New York. Dr. Garnett is the inventor and recipient of multiple U.S.
patents for palladium lipoic complexes. For nearly 40 years, Dr. Garnett has probed the secrets of molecular biology
and the mysteries of cells. He saw cellular dysfunction as the failure of cells to regenerate normally in a default
mode; instead, cloning itself in a deranged state over and over again. He theorized that this failure to mature was a problem of energetics in the cells metabolic processes
via the cells energy transport chain which occurs through electron transfer.
While definitive studies on Poly-MVA's effect
in human nutrition and health are ongoing, existing published reports as well as two Quality of Life Studies (2.5

Protective effects of Poly-MVA during Radiation Exposure
"I was diagnosed with Stage
IIIB breast cancer in May of 2007. I started on Poly-MVA right away. After six weeks on Poly and after only two
chemo sessions, a sonogram showed that the lymph nodes under my arm were returning to normal. That amazed the doctor.
I also never got sick from the chemo. I did get nauseated but did not throw up. I am now cancer free and it is
a miracle after such a poor original diagnosis. "
Mechanism of action
For clarification, there is no free lipoic
acid or palladium in the Poly-MVA formulation. These two components are irreversibly bound, resulting in a new
compound. Dr. Garnett engineered Poly-MVA in this manner to create a polymer that is soluble in both fat and water
(meaning that it will travel to all locations of the body as well as cross the blood brain barrier). Bound in this
fashion, the palladium and lipoic
acid create a universally unique compound with extraordinary properties. Poly-MVA (LAPd) is a liquid crystal that works by collecting energy from free radicals
and transferring that energy from membrane fatty acids to DNA via the mitochondria. Therefore, by its structural
nature and action as a redox shuttle, Poly-MVA
(LAPd) can both quench radicals as well as provide energy to the mitochondria. In layman terms, Poly-MVA appears to provide an ongoing source of cellular protection
to healthy aerobic cells under extreme duress.

Poly-MVA supports the Electron
In healthy aerobic cells, Poly-MVA transfers
electrical charge (energy) from the fatty acids (that make up the cells membrane) via the ELECTRON
TRANSPORT CHAIN in the mitochondria
(the cellular organelle responsible
for energy production) supporting
optimal cellular function. However, anaerobic
cells, that function in a hypoxic
(low oxygen) environment, lack
the oxygen pathways necessary to distribute the electrical charge.

Poly-MVA acts as an efficient aerobic catalyst which leads to improved oxygen utilization and energy at the cellular
level in healthy cells, which
utilize aerobic metabolism, without
providing the same benefits to anaerobic cells which are devoid of a proper electron transport chain infrastructure(see graphic below). This is the cellular mechanism of action that has been documented and is resulting
in the dramatic benefits reported by Physicians and Patients.
According to Dr. Frank Antonawich, research scientist and instructor for St. Josephs College who researches lipoic
acid-palladium complexes, this selective cellular metabolic support provided by Poly-MVA(LAPd) is helpful and supportive to normal aerobic (high-oxygen) cells
whereas anaerobic (low-oxygen) cells produce energy differently and have adapted to a hypoxic (low-oxygen) environment which can not properly utilize this electron transfer.
Therefore, anaerobic cells, that function in a hypoxic (low oxygen) environment, lack the oxygen pathways necessary to distribute the electrical charge.
